The Art and Activism class of the Cinema and Photography Department at SIU invites the public to an exhibition commemorating the Southern Illinois Women’s March.
Taking place on January 21, 2017, the Southern Illinois Women’s March was coordinated in solidarity with other marches around the country to communicate boldly that women’s rights are human rights and to celebrate the diverse accomplishments and contributions of women around the country. This exhibition will feature signs, photographs, and interviews provided by members of the local community who attended the March.
This free exhibition is located in the Cinema and Photography gallery and display area in the Mass Communication and Media Arts building at SIUC. The exhibition will run from Monday, March 20, 2017 through Thursday, March 30, 2017.
The gallery will remain open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Closed 12-1 M/W. Open until 7:00 on Wednesdays.
A closing reception will follow on Thursday, March 30 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
