Now is the time to apply for the opportunity to represent Egyptian Electric and the state of Illinois on the annual Youth to Washington Tour, June 16-23, 2023. Two sophomore, junior or senior applicants, who are either a child of an EECA consumer-member or attend a public or private high school in the EECA’s service territory, will be chosen to join other students from across the state for a trip of a lifetime.
The application form includes completing short summaries of the student’s school activities, civic activities and other accomplishments, plus an essay related to cooperatives and/or our local communities. Students are judged on their written application and demonstrated understanding of the rural electric program.
All expenses are paid by Egyptian Electric Cooperative, and transportation is provided. Applications must be received to the Cooperative office by Feb. 6, 2023. They can also be submitted by faxing 888-554-8181 or emailing bguthman@eeca.coop. Visit https://eeca.coop/community-
