The Middle School Art Exhibition is hosted by Artspace 304 in conjunction with Art for All, arts
education advocacy group. The participating schools are Anna CCSD 37, DuQuoin Middle
School, Eldorado Middle School, Harrisburg Middle School, Murphysboro Middle School,
Shawnee District #84, Trinity Christian School, Unity Point School, and Zeigler Royalton
Elementary School.
Also on view during this exhibition is the first session of “Our World, Many Lenses”. This after-
school art program for middle school students is made possible through the Foreground Rural
Initiative Grant through Illinois Humanities Council. The session took place during the month of
March at Cobden Unit School District 17 with teachers Margarita Bartolo and Jeremy Crawford.
The art activities emphasized self-expression, storytelling, and embracing diverse perspectives
through narrative drawing and painting.
These exhibitions run April 21 – May 6. A closing reception will be held Saturday, May 6th from
2-4pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Artspace 304 is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12-5 pm. Parking is available in the
First Christian Church parking lot, located on W Monroe St and S University Ave in Carbondale,
