Attention women of Southern Illinois- The City of Carbondale, in collaboration with Southern Illinois
University and Caffeine Until Cocktails, want to honor YOU at a special Galentine’s Day Event at the Saluki
Men’s Basketball Game on February 17th, 6 PM!
As Carbondale continues to celebrate our 150th year of being incorporated, we want to showcase the broad
accomplishments of women who are paving the path and igniting the future of Carbondale and our region. The
City of Carbondale, Southern Illinois University, along with local influencer Jessica Baine, of Caffeine Until
Cocktails are throwing a Galentine’s Day party at the Salukis basketball game. This will be an evening of
women empowerment celebrated at the Banterra Center as the Salukis take on Indiana State. This evening will
also recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of those involved in the Special Olympics, an organization
that was formed right here in our backyard by Eunice Kennedy Shriver at SIU’s Touch of Nature.
Any attendee who identifies as a woman will receive a free beverage voucher for a special halftime toast, where
featured community members and all the women in the crowd will be honored and recognized for all the
powerful work they do here in Southern Illinois. Saluki Athletics will be gifting 500 tickets for the next Saluki
Women’s basketball game!
Use special promo code= WOMEN when purchasing your tickets at SiuSalukis.com/Promo to get $10 tickets
for this game. Bring your bestie and raise a glass to show some love to yourself and your fellow Southern
Illinois ladies!

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge
and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban
sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both
express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open… for family, fun, business,
new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
