The Carbondale Park District and the City of Carbondale are continuing work on a master plan for the improvement and
growth of the parks and green spaces in Carbondale.
On Tuesday April 30th, at 5 PM at City Hall, there will be a Public Planning Meeting that will last about 1-2 hours. This
meeting will be an opportunity for citizens to gather and form sub-groups to discuss what they feel is needed to move
forward with these projects. This will be the first of several meetings of this nature.
In February, a survey was launched to gather information and feedback on what our citizens would like to see done with
our parks and green spaces in our community. From here, focus groups will meet to discuss information that was
gathered from these surveys.
