The City of Carbondale and Carbondale Main Street are excited to announce the return of the “Off the
Rails” Concert Series to downtown Carbondale for its 4th consecutive year! Join us at the Downtown
Entertainment and Events Plaza (200 S. Washington Street) for free outdoor concerts, running
August through October, featuring local and regional entertainers. We are pleased to share that
construction will be undergoing during this time to implement the new permanent stage within the
Downtown Entertainment and Events Plaza, but this will not impede upon the concerts occurring this
year in this space.
This family-friendly series, open to all ages, features food trucks & vendors as well as music. Each
concert runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

3 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.- Hemp, Hops & Shrooms (partnering with SIU Cannabis Science Center and SIU
Fermentation Science Institute)
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – UNCHAiNED
8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Off the Rails
Friday, October 11
SIU Homecoming Concert (Partnering with SIU Alumni Association)
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Modern Day Saints
8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Jungle Dogs (Farewell Show)
Saturday, October 26
Carbondale Halloween
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Ernie Johnson From Detroit
8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – The People Brothers Band
Public consumption of alcohol is allowed during these events within the Entertainment District.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own alcohol in non-glass containers. Come enjoy the vibrant
musical culture of Carbondale! Remember to bring your own chair and enjoy the food trucks and
