CARBONDALE –
Effective 2/20/2025, The City of Carbondale Building and Neighborhood Services Division will begin issuing
Environmental Correction Notices to all property owners who have not removed storm damaged trees, branches, and
landscaped waste from their properties.
Please remove any branches damaged by Winter Storm Blair that are still hanging in trees and any trees that are heavily
damaged and hazardous that pose risks, as soon as safely possible. Notices will be issued to property owners requiring that
these hazards be removed within the next two weeks, or by March 7th, 2025.
All fallen trees or branches must be removed from private property within 60 days or by April 25th, 2025. Do not place
this debris on City Right of Way (sidewalks, streets, alleys, etc.). The City storm cleanup operation has concluded- any
debris left at this point will not be collected by the City. Debris placed on the ROW is a violation of City Code, unless
bundled and tagged in accordance with City Code:
