CARBONDALE – Mayor Carolin Harvey and The City of Carbondale invite the Carbondale community to
the Helping Hands for the Holidays—Carbondale Community Resource Fair at the Carbondale Civic
Center on Thursday, December 5th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Carbondale Civic Center.
Join us for a festive day of holiday cheer, support, and community connection! This FREE event will
feature nearly 30 community organizations and agencies offering valuable information, services, and
resources to help residents thrive through the holiday season and beyond.
Attendees will enjoy complimentary treats and beverages by Cristaudo’s Café and Bakery while they
explore the variety of free and low cost resources available to them. Attendees will also receive a
commemorative Carbondale holiday bag while supplies last and have a chance to win exciting prizes
throughout the event.
This is a wonderful opportunity for interested vendors to show how they can lend a helping hand this
holiday season. To learn more about the event or to reserve a table, please contact Dianah McGreehan
at dmcgreehan@carbondaleil.gov or call 618-457-3282.
Don’t miss this chance to discover free and low-cost resources, connect with neighbors, and celebrate
the season with your community!
“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix
of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as
urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged
to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open…for family, fun,
business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
