Born into a family of storytellers, Morikeba began his training at age eight and was performing professionally by fourteen. Known throughout West Africa for his electrifying performances and expert storytelling, his talent earned him a national radio program in Dakar, televised appearances, and invitations to perform for African royalty and presidents, including those of Senegal and The Gambia.
