Theme: “WE SAY NO TO GUN VIOLENCE “
Focus: GUN VIOLENCE IS CARBONDALE is higher than the Federal Crime rate . Gun violence in our back yard. We will hear from families, community leaders who have been affected by Gun Violence.
This year’s BIG EVENT celebration is the 6th anniversary for Women For Change- Unity in the Community a 501(c) community organization.
That day will be a Fun Day that will includes basketball for tournament by BOBBY MCBRIDE AND THE BALLERS starting at 10:00 a.m. In the Attucks Park.
11:30 a.m The UNITY MARCH PARADE
11:00 am- LINEUP will start at Rockhill Baptist the milestone church for Reverend Lenus Turley, our Civil Rights Champion in the 60’s and 70’s. The Unity March Parade is open to organizations, churches, residents, and businesses to join the march to showcase their business, organizations, and their message of DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, EQUITY, AND JUSTICE. At the Attucks Park, our celebration venue will be filled with family-friendly activities like bouncy houses, playground games, face painting, organization information tables , basketball tournaments (ages 10years old – adults) , vendor and food trucks, speakers, singers, dancers, and entertainment.
Food Vendors, Pop Up Vendors are welcomed. Fee required for vendors selling goods. No cost for Information Tablers
